Mascarin Collision Cup Mid Can

July 28- 30, 2017

The highlight of Thunder Bay's tennis season is the Mascarin Collision Centre Mid Canada Open tournament.  Local players aim to have their performance level peak for this tournament.  With $12,000 of prize money involved, the event attracts competitive players from all over Ontario and the northern United States.  It is a four star Ontario Tennis Association sanctioned tournament at the Open level.  The tournament is renowned for its competitive level of play, but the real appeal is the hospitality and welcoming environment offered by the Thunder Bay Community Tennis Centre.  We do our best to make arrangements for our most competitive entrants.  Through corporate sponsorships and billeting arrangements, we can often provide accommodations free of charge.  Feel free to contact us to investigate accommodation arrangements.

The tournament has a long and storied past, and each year we add to the drama.  We have had Champions go on to play the Major tournaments, most recently in the case of Eric Butorac, finalist in the Australian Open 2014 doubles event.  We have attracted players from as far as Europe and recently players on the Division 1 US College circuit.  If you come here expecting to win, you may be surprised!
